TRANSPORTATION TO EVENTS
Players and coaches are to travel as a team to and from all out-of-town contests. Athletes may NEVER drive themselves or other team members to non-local events unless they are going as spectators only.
Once in a while, in a true emergency (such as illness, injury, or special family circumstances), a parent may transport his/her OWN CHILD to or from a contest with permission from the coach or Athletic Director. In such cases, the parent must give the coach a written request to drive his/her own child, which releases the school district from liability.
