Huron Booster Club Achievement Awards2007 Awardees
Congratulations to Anahid Matossian, a senior crew member and Brent Ewald, a senior water polo player for being the recipients of the 3rd Annual Huron Booster Club Achievement Awards.
The awards were presented by Huron Principal, Dr. Williams and Dr. Toni Ausum Fear, Booster Club Co-President at the Scholar Athlete Program on March 6, 2007.
The Huron Booster Club awarded two (2) $1000 Achievement Awards as part of the annual Scholar-Athlete Program which was held on the evening of March 6, 2007. The Scholar Athlete Program honors students who maintain a 3.2 or better grade point average during the semester in which they are a member of a sports team.
One of the Booster Club’s Achievement Awards is designated for a female student, and one Achievement Award is designated for a male student. Random selections were drawn from the male and female students who attended the program. The $1000 Achievement Awards will become available to students after their graduation from Huron High School, and can be used for expenses related to enrollment in universities, colleges, community colleges, trade and technical institutes.
Congratulations to both Anahid and Brent for their excellence in the classroom as well as on the playing field!
