The 2011 SCHOLAR-ATHLETE Program event will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 7pm in the Paul K. Meyers Auditorium.   Featured speaker is TBD.    

The Huron Booster Club Achievement Awards will be awarding two $1,000 scholarships at this year's event.   One award is presented to a male student and one award is presented to a female student.   The Student Athlete must be present to be eligible for the Achievement Award Scholarship..

Huron High School has a proud tradition of honoring its Scholar Athletes in an annual award ceremony that is sponsored by the Booster Club.   The ceremony begins with a keynote speaker followed by an award presentation where each athlete is asked to come on stage to receive his/her award from the Athletic Director.   Huron family, friends and community supporters are invited to participate in this celebratory event.   On average, about 50% of all Huron student athletes receive a Scholar-Athlete Award!

Scholar-athletes from the second semester of 2009-10 (winter and spring sport seasons) and from the first semester of the 2010-2011 school year (fall and winter sport seasons) will be honored at the 2011 year ceremony. 

All Scholar Athlete students who attend the 2011 Program will have their names put in the drawing for the Huron Booster Club Achievement Awards  for two $1,000 scholarships.   One award is presented to a male student and one award is presented to a female student.   Winners are selected by random drawing after the students are honored.   The Student Athlete must be present to be eligible for the Achievement Award Scholarship.

Congratulations to all of our Student-Athletes!!   Scholar Athlete Award recipients will be mailed an invitation to the event.
